Semcac Student Onsite Support Specialist in Austin, Minnesota
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Supports at-risk children with social and behavioral needs. Supports will include working with children individually, in small groups, and within the classroom. Working in collaboration with the Teachers and Team Members to implement and model support for the identified at-risk children. Working closely with the Inclusion Coordinator and the Mental Health Professional to create, implement, and follow through with support for identified children. Communicating with the family/guardians alongside the teacher, of the identified at-risk child. Supporting Head Start-wide Policies and Procedures implementation of Behavior Guidance Support, including modeling Conscious Discipline, which encourages self-control, self-direction, self-esteem, and cooperation. Check-in and checkout, Student Support Plans, and Behavior Rating Scale, with the Teaching Team.
