Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Provides technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter

  • Manages the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems

  • Monitors the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns

  • Maintains system backups including creation and testing

  • Responds to and resolve Service Desk requests

  • Upgrades systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution

  • Administers infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes

  • Reviews application and system logs

  • Installs and tests computer-related equipment

  • Stays current with new technologies, organizing pilot studies and demonstrations to understand how they may fit into the current environment

  • Works with IT Management team to ensure compliance for governmental and contractual requirements

  • Conducts oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values

  • Other duties as assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience in system administration

  • Experience maintaining VMWare environments and Windows servers, including setup/build, patching, troubleshooting, and application/operating system performance tuning

  • Two years’ experience with server virtualization

  • Experience with Storage Area Network technologies, Veeam, Nimble, VMware administration, and design and implementation of new systems

  • Ability to manage Active Directory and Group Policies

  • Experience designing and maintaining wired and wireless infrastructure

  • Ability to install, configure, and maintain Exchange Server, SQL Server, and M365

  • Experience in administration of IP Switching and TCP/IP networking

  • General understanding of Cisco Systems required, CCNA preferred

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas, concepts, and proposals to a wide range of internal and external audiences at all levels, both technical and non-technical

  • Five years of supervisor or management experience is preferred with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach employees
