Job Summary:
Raytheon is seeking an energetic Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. The primary function of this position is to receive intelligence needs and translate those needs into sophisticated engineering strategies along with assessing the strategies performance. The Planning Engineer (PE) will work closely with others in the architecting of approaches and strategies to meet interpreted nation level requirements. The candidate is expected to demonstrate leadership qualities and function in the team lead role. While the primary shift for this position is day shift there are occasions that may require after hours support. This is a program certified position that will receive extensive system level training and will be expected to extend this training to future candidates that enter the program.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Work closely with technical advisors, calibration experts, and customer to develop strategies and optimize products .
Perform functional analysis, detailed trade studies, timeline analysis, and requirements allocation and interface definition studies .
Routinely called upon to run major projects that support the customer .
Must have a demonstrated ability in being a technically minded problem-solver, be able to focus on the task at hand, follow-through on the prescribed plan, and the ability to be flexible and think under pressure .
Comprehend and communicate complex technical information .
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
Systems engineering skills.
Project leadership
Stakeholders and team-strengthening .
P resentation skills.
Convey plans, thoughts, and rationale to teammates .
Operations environment
An active and in-scope TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. security clearance

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
