Our Retail Centers are open 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sundays.

Pay: $15.15 per hour. This position is eligible for Daily Pay! Work today, get paid today! We’ve partnered with DailyPay, a voluntary benefit to offer employees access to their pay on their own schedule. Part Time employees in our Retail and Sales/Operations Division are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty and bereavement leave. All employees may also make pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan – must be 18 years of age to participate. JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers in a welcoming manner and responding timely and professionally to customer inquiries. Sales Associates must help maintain a well-stocked and organized sales floor that meets company standards and be able to operate a point-of-sale cash register system to ensure the quality of product and pricing are accurate at the time of purchase.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for verification of till counts, provides accurate cashier transactions, and maintains a balanced cash drawer using a computer-based point-of-sale system.

  • Responsible for driving the Roundup initiative by engaging customers and sharing knowledge of the mission it supports.

  • Provides excellent Customer Service upholding company values.

  • Provides assistance to customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.

  • Responsible for completion of opening and closing procedures.

  • Maintains a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product from racks, carts, or baskets, as well as putting away returned or unwanted items.

  • Provides a safe, clean, organized, and well stocked point of sale, sales floor, and restrooms.

  • Initiates Customer Delight/Power Hour calls over intercom to organize and clean sales floor.

  • Follows all retail center policies and procedures.

  • Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.

  • Cross-trains in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required.

  • Your job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

  • One (1) year of retail sales or cash handling experience is preferred.

Other:

  • Must be accurate with numbers and general calculations and understand the value of different coins and US currency.

  • Must be able to use basic math such as adding, subtracting, and multiplication.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.

  • Must be able to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.

  • Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to eight (8) hours per day.

  • Ability to see color for accurate transactions.

  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.
