Contractor Support Representative - Customer Service

What is the role and where can you add value?

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty is seeking a candidate to h andle claims the contractor is negatively impacting, while educating them on proper procedures and expectations. Point of contact for contractors needing assistance . In this role you will be responsible for answering inbound phone calls and working tasks, while providing excellent customer service to contractors and homeowners.

Core Job R esponsibilities :

  • Verifies proper claim processes and course of action, with the authority and responsibility to alter the claim path as needed to ensure the most cost effective repairs are completed for the claim

  • Manage s individual task queue in order to resolve escalated claim issues and move claims forward to wards resolution

  • Effectively communicate the Terms of Service and service standards for the various contractor service agreements

  • Explains pricing structures and billing practices to contractors based on their specific agreed 2-10 HBW pricing

  • Resource for the contractors as they need assistance with the claims process, including processes, procedures, online portal usage, self-service practices and equipment/parts ordering

  • Answers inbound phone calls via a phone queue regarding service issues , parts or equipment questions, or account needs

  • R esolve s service provider complaints/issues received from other departments and communicates resolution to necessary parties as required

  • D efuse s home warranty claim situations with contractors and homeowners in a professional manner

  • Document and note all customer , contractor and supplier interactions in a clear, concise and informative matter in the claims management systems

  • HVAC knowledge and experience a plus

  • Other duties as assigned

    What skills a nd experience should you bring to this role?

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to de-escalate disputes

  • Strong decision-making/problem solving skills

  • Excel knowledge
