These providers bringtheir unparalleled expertise at the forefront of medicine to delivertrusted, compassionate health care services at primary and specialty careclinics as well as facilities operated by affiliate hospitals of theUniversity of Colorado.We are seeking a highly motivated Contract Review Attorney to join ourContracts Operations team.This job can be performed 100% remotely and out of state candidates will beconsidered.The Contract Review Attorney will review, prepare and negotiate the legalcontent of contracts, to ensure compliance with University, State,Federal and CU Medicine policies and procedures. These contracts primarilyinclude professional services contracts in support of the faculty of theUniversity of Colorado School of Medicine ("SOM"), but may alsoinclude other agreements such as vendor contracts, lease agreements, orroutine legal agreements (non-disclosure, confidentiality, etc.). Theindividual in this position will be responsible for maintaining contractdocumentation within our electronic contract system, obtaining finalsignatures via DocuSign, providing customer service and training to SOM orother internal personnel ("Business Stakeholders"), as well ascoordinating with Finance Management, the Sr. Contracts Attorney or variousUniversity teams to ensure contracts with non-conforming language or otherexceptions are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner.The Contract Review Attorney will: Evaluate contract requests received from business stakeholders forcompleteness and propriety. Prepare, review and interpret physician professional servicecontracts, renewals or amendments, ensuring inclusion or limitation oflanguage required by the University, and appropriate clauses related toliability, conflicts of interest, intellectual property, non-competition, etc. Negotiate redline changes with third parties, and coordinate reviewand resolution of non-conforming language or exceptions with appropriateindividuals or departments at CU Medicine or the University. Construct and route final contracts via DocuSign to CU Medicineexecutives and external third parties for signature with follow-up as neededto ensure final execution. Ensure appropriate hand-off of executed documents to Contract OperationsBilling Specialists. Identify non-standard contracts that must be sent to additionalUniversity departments, Finance Management, or the Sr. Contracts Attorneyfor review or processing, and coordinate hand-offs to/from thesedepartments or individuals. Review inquiries received from Business Stakeholders and/or thirdparties to determine need for a contract and communicateinformation/documentation needs for contract preparation. Ensure proper contract routing, communicate contract status, andprovide other aspects of customer service. Maintain and update the contract management system(s) tostore/retrieve contracts, track contract status and milestones, andreport on upcoming contract renewals or expirations. Assist Finance Management or Sr. Contracts Attorney with higher-levelbusiness or legal matters. Prepare reports or analyses to support standard reporting or ad hocinquiries related to professional service contracts.Requires 5+ years of contract interpretation experience. Juris DoctorateDegree is required. Experience reviewing health care related professionalservice agreements is highly preferred. Two to three years of transactionalaccounting experience will be considered a plus. Must possess strong technicalskills, including the ability to learn new systems, work between multiplesystems, edit numerous document formats and prepare reports. High-levelknowledge of the Mic
