MaineGeneral Health Team Leader - Retail Food Services in Augusta, Maine

Job Summary:This position works with the Retail Supervisor in overseeing that the staff & operations are running smoothly, including staff etiquette, sanitation of equipment and workstations, proper food handling by staff, customer service and money handling of both the ACH Cafeteria and Main Street Cafe. This position also works with the PM Tray Line Lead in overseeing dish room staff & operations as needed.

Shifts for this position are scheduled for 11am-7:30pm. Every other weekend shift required.

Job Description:

  • Provides mentoring, monitoring and coaching especially in the areas of productivity and quality management

  • Serves as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote teamwork and cooperation

  • Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision making/problem solving

  • Performs responsibilities of underlying job. Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong customer service skills

  • 3 years or more experience in a food service environment preferred

  • Previous food service leadership experience preferred

  • Strong oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications
