Project Management Specialist for Honeywell International, Inc. (Augusta, Maine)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work on multiple projects and effectively manage priorities.

Responsibilities include project scope planning, budgeting & forecasting, resource scheduling, risk management and analysis, and integration planning for multifaceted building automation projects.

Optimize plans to meet deadlines and budget.

Demonstrate professional sales acumen, including time management, market assessment, targeting customers, long-term relationship building, adapting strategy based on customer needs, developing and executing account and opportunity plans, bidding strategy, negotiating, disciplined follow-up, and customer problem resolution.

Exercise vigilant control over project finances and scope, adeptly managing deviations and change order management to safeguard project margins while meticulously adhering to project schedules and quality benchmarks.

Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversees subcontractor RFQ process, awards subcontracts, and manages subcontractor execution.

Collaborate with technicians and subcontractors/vendors to establish project tasks, schedule requirements, communications for project progress, and review of plans/specifications and project submittals.

Lead all aspects of project administration including, knowledge and risk mitigation of construction contract content language, validating project scope / cost / schedule, managing project compliance, project documentation, project safety guidelines, development, and maintenance of project schedules.

Provide leadership and motivation to cross-functional project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline a work plan.

Coordinate project personnel, assign duties and responsibilities, define the scope of authority, and review/approve work plans of external service providers or consultancies to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.

40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or related field, and 7 years of Project Management experience including ability to accurately estimate large-scale programs, manage costs, prepare budgets, and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle by using tools such as MS Office, MS Project, Cora PPM, NEX, etc. Must have 7 years of experience with the following: Advanced HVAC Systems Knowledge; Extensive Control System Design and System Architecture Design (Advanced user of AutoCAD, CPO Studio, Niagara Tridium N4, etc.); Knowledge of Building Standards and Regulations (ASHRAE, NFPA, and protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and LON for HVAC systems design and implementation); Project Management Skills (ability to accurately estimate large-scale programs, manage costs, prepare budgets, and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle by using tools such as MS Office, MS Project, Cora PPM, NEX, etc.); Familiar with Budgeting and Cost Estimation; Familiar with Risk Management; Contract Management; Quality Assurance and Control; Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively engaging with stakeholders, clients, vendors, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.); Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance and OSHA 10/30 certified. Must have the following certification: Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP). Approximately 50-60% domestic travel required. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.
