All YOU need is:
Ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience.
Accurately measure distances using tapes and other measuring devices.
Use assigned test equipment including but not limited to signal level meter (SLM), leakage detector, volt ohm meter, sweep receiver, underground locater, and TDR.
Able to prioritize and organize assignments and responsibilities.
Able to accurately maintain records, logs, reports, work orders, etc.
Able to read street maps and system design prints.
Flexibility in your schedule to work evenings/weekends as needed.
The desire to not be stuck behind a desk.
Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets our company standards.
What you’ll be doing:
Troubleshooting and repair problems in HFC networks
Test, balance, align and adjust components, cables and equipment used to amplify and process signals in both directions (Downstream and return path) including system sweep.
Perform maintenance, testing and repair on HFC network power supplies.
Splice and activate fiber optic cables, nodes, transmitters, and receivers.
Assist in training activities AND Perform plant serviceability surveys.
Perform emergency fiber restoration.
Participate in on-call rotation.
Identify/report all incidents of non-compliance (FCC, NESC, OSHA and WOW standards).
Assure system security by following company procedures.

Represent WOW! in a competent and professional manner to all customers, associates, and outside organizations.
Provide superior customer service and always maintain professional appearance and behavior.
Responsible for motor vehicle per company policy including equipment & tool inventory, vehicle security and vehicle maintenance.
Identify and repair all instances of signal leakage to ensure the system conforms to F.C.C. Cumulative Leakage Index requirements and company standards.
Complete all tasks to WOW! quality standards.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
You must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather and be able to stand, walk, and work over all types of terrain.
Ability to work in tight spaces, elevated places (roofs, utility poles), poorly vented areas such as attics, in extreme temperatures, and environments that may have dust, dirt, noise, insects and cleaning solutions.
Ability to move, crawl, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, pull, push, and grasp.
Ability to lift up to 90 pounds to carry tools/equipment.
Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder (approx. 28’ & 75lbs)
Ability to differentiate between sizes, colors of wires, and work with small components.
Ability to use drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and other hand tools.
Ability to use close vision, peripheral vision and adjust focus.
Physically able to use computer equipment and test equipment.
Ability to work safely near power lines and electrical equipment.
Must be able to meet the physical limit requirements of personal protective equipment, aerial life equipment, ladders and/or gaffs that may be used in this position.
Safely operate and drive company vehicles.
