Functions as a part of a large and varied healthcare team consisting of physicians, nurses, allied health personnel, and members of the community. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care to a variety of diagnostic categories and supervising rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students. Caseloads may consist of adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. Caseloads may consist of adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatient. Implements treatment plan utilizing current theory and practice; works towards established goals; modifies goals and treatment plan as necessary and indicated. Documents treatment plan according to department policy and bills for services. Coordinates appropriate follow up post discharge from care.
Position Requirements
Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or related field. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA upon completion of the clinical fellowship year post graduation. Those with more than one year of experience will be required to possess this credential. Georgia State Licensure.
