Amergis School Based Behavior Technician in Auburn, Washington
Behavior Technician:
Amergis Healthcare Services is seeking a Behavior Technician. The Behavior Technicianworks one-on-one with children with Autistic Disorder (AD), PervasiveDevelopmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDNOS), Asperger’s Disorder(AS) and Childhood Dis-integrative Disorder (CDD). The Behavior Technicianimplements a Behavior Plan (BP) designed and maintained by a ProgramSupervisor. BT gathers quantifiable data necessary for the Program Supervisorto evaluate the effectiveness of the BP in achieving identified goals andobjectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follows the instructions of the BCBA/program supervisor
Provides behavior assistance/interventions to assigned clients
Provides behavior support services
Provides crisis intervention
Implements behavior plans
Documents session per policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Follow De-escalation guidelines (i.e. Right Response, Handle w/ Care, CPI - depending on location) to de-escalate students when presenting verbal or physical aggression (De-escalation training provided but candidate must be comfortable with a potentially aggressive environment)
Preferred Requirements:
1+ years of experience working with children/ youth/ students in a personal or professional setting
1+ years of care giving experience in a personal or professional setting
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Special Needs or Disability experience
Passion for providing support and care
Associates Degree
Details:
Location- Auburn, Maple Valley, Kent
Hours- 20-32.5 hours/ week
Schedule- Monday- Friday
Pay Rate- $25
