ABOUT THE POSITION: The Program Assistant observes, records, and responds as needed to the comings and goings of guests, staff, and residents, maintains a safe and comfortable environment for residents, and responds to resident issues as appropriate. Maintains security by following procedures and interacting with and monitoring activity in the lobby area. They serve as a member of the program services team; they support and work with the other team members to serve the community by providing trauma-informed assistance. This is a unionized position, represented by Local 8 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU)..

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Located in Auburn, WA, Don's Place is a hybrid housing program combining aspects of both Compass' enhanced shelter and permanent supportive housing programs. It provides non-time limited emergency housing with 24/7 supportive services for adults and couples. Referrals for program participants will be received from Coordinated Entry for All (CEA) and the local Auburn community. In addition to supportive services, participants have access to daily meals, 24/7 staffing support, laundry, and other resources including referrals to medical and mental health services and other benefits to assist in addressing any barriers to long-term, stable housing.

LOCATION: *Near Emerald Downs (Auburn, WA) *REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator or Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SCHEDULE#1: Sunday-Thursday 11:55pm-8am; with monthly staff meetings on 1st Monday & 3rd Thursday SCHEDULE#2: Tuesday-Saturday 11:55pm-8am; with monthly staff meetings on 1st Monday & 3rd Thursday* MEAL PERIOD:* Paid (30-minutes) SALARY RANGE: $21.22 per hour (Step 1*) + additional $1.75 per overnight hour FULL TIME BENEFITS INCLUDE: Unlimited Orca Transportation Pass, Medical/Prescription/Vision, Dental, $500 Health Flexible Spending Account 4 Weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) & 11 Paid Holidays, Retirement Plan, Employee Assistance Program.

QUALIFICATIONS: *• A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, *required. • At least 1 year of experience in a social/human service setting, desired. • Awareness and/or training around issues of equity, intersectionality, and belonging, desired. • Familiarity with topics of housing instability, mental health, substance use, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence.
