Torr Technologies, Inc. Customer Service Representative in Auburn, Washington

At Torr Technologies, the customer is the center of our business. We are a small, locally-owned manufacturing company who services customers across multiple industries all over the world, including aerospace. Our diverse customer base ranges from very large well-known companies to small hobbyists completing projects out of their garage. Our team prides themselves in providing the same level of service to each of them to deliver a consistent, positive experience to every one of our customers.

As a Customer Service Sales Representative, you will be the first point of contact for most customers who reach out to Torr Technologies for assistance. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to help customers work through their process to determine which of Torr's products can help them improve their process and meet their quality requirements. As a primary contact for processing customer quotes and orders, this position has the potential to grow into a more formal sales position.

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements, Location & Hours

This is a permanent full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours per week, eligible for overtime) and is located on-site in our office in Auburn, WA. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm. Primary work functions will be executed at a desk, which allows you to sit or stand while working, and the candidate must be capable of walking the length of the building, including stairs to a second level, multiple times per day to deliver paperwork, etc. to the relevant departments as orders are processed and completed. No lifting is required. There is no option for remote work in this position.

Responsibilities

This valuable role is the first point of contact for most customers and vendors who reach out to Torr. The successful Customer Service Sales Representative will exhibit a positive, can-do attitude while using their expertise to ensure their needs are met.

Assist customers with product and pricing inquiries over the phone and by email.

Effectively manage multiple shared email inboxes to ensure timely customer responses.

Process domestic and international customer orders received via phone, e-mail, or e-commerce website.

Generate and send invoices to customers for payment.

Process customer payments, as necessary.

Cross-sell products, as necessary, to ensure the customers needs are fully met.

Arrange domestic and international logistics, as necessary, to ensure on-time delivery.

Manage product inventory to ensure sufficient stock to fill customer orders.

Order materials from vendors, as needed, to fulfill customer orders.

Occasionally execute administrative tasks for the company.

Grow into an expanded sales position as knowledge and skills develop.
