Service & Repair Mechanic - HVAC-R
Perform the following independently: install, test, diagnose, maintain, service repair, replace, or otherwise work on a variey of electronic systems and equipment. The equipment will include communications devices (telephones/faxes/scanners), computer equipment, security systems, and other control and indicating equipment. Work tasks may include working with ladders, scaffolding, blueprints, hand & power tools, and diagnostic tools. Must have 4 years of experience in installation, maintenance, & repair of electronic equipment; or graduated from a high school Tech Electronics Education Program recognized by NYS Education Department (NYSED) as meeting the standards for technical education and 3 years of experience in installation, maintenance, & repair of electronic equipment; OR an Associate degree in electronic tech or successful completion of a 2 year tech professional certification program in the electrics field and 2years of experience in installation, maintenance, & repair of electronic equipment. Examples of electronic equipment: antenna systems, closed circuit television systems, control & indicating equipment, data systems, electronic office equipment, fire alarms, intercommunication units, surveillance equipment, public address systems, radio equipment, etc.
