Stantec’s Water Team is currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Intermediate/Senior Civil CAD Technologist. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their design experience by working on a wide variety of private and public water infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other technical software and will use their strong technical skills on a variety of design projects. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach junior staff.

  • Work under minimal supervision and work closely with the Business Centre Leadership Team to manage multiple water-related projects.

  • Perform on technically complex projects and acts as a technical resource by guiding staff.

  • Collaborate with PMs and Discipline Leaders to promote work-sharing and import and export personnel as required to deliver projects throughout the business successfully.

  • Assign, review and evaluate work for technical accuracy and completeness; and advise on technical problems.

  • Create Civil 3D surface, road, and utility models.

  • Coordinate project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others.

  • Completing model reviews and collaborating with other technical disciplines.

  • Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

  • Understanding and adhering to Stantec and client standards.

  • Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project.

  • Maintain project CAD standards relating to Civil 3D.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Familiarity with water and wastewater treatment disciplines, and/or an educational background in these areas.

  • Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.

  • Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.

  • Experience with MS Office Suite including Word and Excel.

  • Experience in following considered an asset:

    • AutoCAD & Civil 3D
    • Revit
    • Autodesk BIM 360 and ProjectWise

Education and Experience

  • A Civil Technologist Diploma, Geomatics Technologist Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience and familiarity with municipal, urban development and utilities disciplines and/or an education background in these areas.

  • 8 years of related experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • $73,500 - $106,600 Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
