About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EH&S Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for implementation and oversight of health, safety and environmental programs in our North American engineering, research and test facilities. The role requires a strong background in environmental regulations, workplace safety practices, and implementation of health and safety programs. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Your Responsibilities

  • You will implement and maintain Health & Safety management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure workplace safety.

  • Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend preventive measures.

  • Foster a safety Culture by promoting employee engagement and awareness

  • Partnering with colleagues across the company to ensure implementation of best practices

  • Participate in emergency response and crisis management activities

  • Assist in obtaining and maintaining necessary permits and certifications

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver training programs on safety policies

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or related.

  • 3-5 years of experience in environmental, health & safety role

Your preferred qualifications

  • Experience working in engineering or automotive testing operations

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards

  • Familiarity with root cause analysis methods

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work across diverse organizations

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficient in MS Office applications
