- Promptly greet and establish a positive impression on each patient.
- Arrive patients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for accurate data input of patient demographic and billing information into the RIS.
- Sean government issued photo ID and insurance cards into RIS.
- Collect co-pays and/of'deductibles due on test scheduled and records appropriately.
- Update patient information.
- Check in patient after all info entered, verified, and patient forms scanned in chart.
- Keep patients informed of extended delays.
- Assist patients to their exam area when needed.
- Prepare CDs for patients and referring physicians upon request.
- Documents arrival and departure of outside CDs.
- Schedule walk in X-Rays to coordinate with other patient examinations and makes all efforts to
minimize any errors in scheduling.
- Obtain all pertinent patient demographic information when scheduling appointments.
- Maintain appropriate clinical knowledge about exams and procedures to ensure that scheduling
and other job functions are handled appropriately
- Explain exam preparation to patients in terms they can understand or defers additional questions
to the technical staff.
- Reschedule patient appointments as needed.
- Document patient notes appropriately in RIS.
- Perform other general office tasks such as laundry, maintenance of office supplies and
equipment, etc..
- Clean and straighten up reception area, lobby and bathrooms.
- Confirm assigned modality 2 days in advance and explain exam preparation.
- Make suggestions to supervisor regarding processes, in order to find increasingly efficient ways
to perform tasks and works with management to improve areas as needed.
- Keep laundry emptied in exam rooms, bathrooms stocked, sanitized, and cleaned. Including
toilet, sink, floor, and mirror. Keep breakroom counters, table, and refrigerator clean. Take trash
out regularly, this includes the large trashcan outside.
