Summary This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MIL), Position Description Number T5900400 and is part of the NJ 177th FTR WG, National Guard. The primary purpose is to administer and accomplish functions of one or more of the following human resources programs: Career Enhancements, Customer Service, Employments, Relocations, and/or Readiness. Responsibilities As a HR SPEC (MIL), GS-0201-9, you will: Serves as an advisor to commanders on assigned unit human resources (HR) program. Manages and controls the Personnel Module of the Integrated Deployment System (IDS), critical to deployment/employment of tasked personnel in support of global operations. Develop wing readiness plans for the administration of contingencies and mobilizations. Manage the Unit Manpower Document (UMD) as directed by Headquarters, National Guard Bureau (HQ NGB) for all serviced units Accomplish and oversee the technical support work in the program area assigned with the assistance of subordinate employees which may be Active Guard Reserve (AGR), full time Technician, or civilian. Determine human resources requirements in support of mobilization. Responsible to the Military Support Flight Commander for the Personnel Support for Contingency Operations (PERSCO) portion of the Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) Report. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Areas of Consideration: Areas VIII: US Citizens Security Clearance Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance. Additional Employment Requirements: Participation in direct deposit is mandatory May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which involves the exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal responsibility, and application of a substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts and practices applicable to one or more fields of administration or management. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting basic concepts, principles, and theories of Human Resources to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements.
