Administer assigned book of business that includes Custody, Defined Benefit and other account types. Ensure that the proper flow of work is performed in most accurate manner and is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Day to day contact for the assigned book of business. This includes contact with both external and internal clients. Acknowledge receipt of inquiries and provide a reasonable expectation for expected resolution within one to two business days through effective written and verbal communication skills. Coordinate and facilitate client requests for appropriate systems’ access.
Interpret and perform the daily processing requests for the assigned book of business based on standard procedures. Processing may include plan deposits, disbursements and other types of money movement based on the account type including but not limited to checks, ach, wires and lump sum or periodic pension payments.
Process the daily lump sum check cycle or pension cycle in accordance with team and quality control procedures in order to ensure the timely and accurate issuance of lump sum or periodic checks. Monitor the distribution processes for improved efficiency and compliance.
Process ACH reversals and returns, stop payments, and check reissues in a timely manner based on established procedures.
Adhere to all internal procedures including client authentication and the completion of all required checklists.
Participate in internal and external audit inquires as required including annual account reviews and BenePay audits.
Perform quality reviews on money movement transactions for teammates according to procedures. The requests should be reviewed with an enhanced attention to detail to prevent errors.
Monitor the trust dashboard for any overdrafts and large balances on a daily basis. Work with Client Managers, Investment Advisors or Clients for direction to clear the overdrafts or large balances based on established procedures.
Store legal documents and daily processing work in the designated Truist imaging system.
Keep abreast of industry trends, the competitive environment, and current laws/regulations affecting participant distributions from retirement plans.

College Degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and internal/external clients.
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrate the ability to handle complex situations and that require sound judgement
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Software.
Four years of experience specifically in financial services.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to act as a mentor to new teammates.
