Job Description

IHD, our healthcare analytics software, streamlines the analytics process by removing complex programming from the equation and allowing you to focus on what matters most - turning data into insights. The IHD platform comprises foundational services to accelerate the development and connection of our products across Norstella business units.

The VP, Product Management will be responsible for a portfolio of data and platform components that enable data integration, RWE, data visualization, governance, and data quality. They will shape the strategic and technical vision for our platform to enable a range of healthcare products and data offerings - and will lead a team of product managers to execute this vision. Working with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders, the successful candidate will be a key enabler in visioning, scoping, and prioritizing platform capabilities across our product roadmaps. The successful candidate will serve as a key thought leader by understanding the challenges and benefits of real-world data, real world evidence and clinical research, and market landscape to maximize its value.

Success will be measured by the maturation of the product pipeline, new product delivery and overall advancement of capabilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals.

• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.

• Develop and prioritize product roadmaps based on business objectives and customer feedback.

• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to retirement, ensuring continuous improvement.

• Lead and mentor a team of product managers and designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

• Manage resources effectively to ensure successful product development and launch.

• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, project management and customer support teams to align product initiatives.

• Work closely with customers to gather feedback and validate product concepts.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and make data-driven decisions.

• Regularly assess product performance and make adjustments based on analytics and user feedback.

• Develop and manage the product budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently to achieve business goals.

• Analyze product profitability and recommend adjustments to pricing or features as needed.

• Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to drive innovation.

• Oversee the development of prototypes and MVPs to test ideas and gather user feedback early in the process.

• Establish product governance policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

• Present product updates, performance reports, and strategic initiatives to the executive leadership team.

• Ensure clear communication of product strategies and updates across the organization.

Key Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in product management, with a focus with at least 4 years focused on healthcare in clinical research /RWD /RWE product development

• Proven track record of leading and mentoring product teams, ideally in a senior or executive role.

• Ability to develop and execute long-term product strategies aligned with business goals.

• Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and customer insights.

• Experience working effectively with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams.

• Proficiency in using data analytics to inform product decisions and measure success.

• Passion for understanding and addressing customer needs and pain points.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and user experience design principles.

• Understanding of technology and software development processes.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate product vision and strategy to stakeholders.

• Ability to influence and negotiate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

• Capability to inspire and motivate teams while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and identify opportunities.

• Track record of delivering successful products on time and within budget while meeting customer expectations.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and adapt strategies as needed.

• Bachelor’s and/or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Business and/or related discipline. Suitable and substantiated real-world experience may also be considered for highly qualified candidates.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $220,000 to $240,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
