CCI Teacher Resource Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia

[The Teacher Resource Specialist provides support in the development and promotion of teaching and learning resources to promote teacher effectiveness and student achievement.]{verdana",sans-serif"=""}

  • Engages in graphic arts utilizing a variety of equipment and programs to create teacher and student resources.
  • Collaborates with school- and district-based educators to develop instructional resources.
  • Provides instruction on how to use the resources and equipment in the Teacher Resource Room.
  • Keeps the district abreast of the availability and offerings of the Teacher Resource Room.
  • Takes and communicates inventory to sustain the Teacher Resource Room and the ISC Professional Library.
  • Ensures the Teacher Resource Room and the ISC Professional Library remains organized, operable, and stocked.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Instructional Development and Design leadership team.

  • Must be able to work extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with district personnel, the general public and work with diversegroups of people.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Proven ability to make recommendations on various topics, detailed, controversial, simple or complex.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities, work under pressure, and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt as needed between in-person environments.

Minimum Requirements Education An Associates Degree or higher in any subject completed at an accredited institution. OR Two years of college coursework (60 semester hours or more) earned at an accredited college oruniversity. OR A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and passing scores on the GACE ParaprofessionalAssessment Test.

Certification/License: Georgia Professional Standards Commission Paraprofessional Certificate

Work Experience: Work experience gained through education and certification/license requirements. 2years of experience preferred.
