Home Depot Talent Acquisition Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Purpose:

The Talent Acquisition Analyst for Hourly Staffing will be responsible for supporting hourly talent strategy and project management. This position will be responsible for understanding and analyzing key drivers of hourly staffing. This position will review various forms of data in Excel and conduct market research to determine talent trends and present recommendations when improvements are needed. This position will assist in leading related projects and create monthly reporting and dashboards that will be useful when creating hourly staffing strategies.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be proactive with a natural curiosity for data and trends, comfortable responding to urgent requests and working within ambiguity and complexity. Additionally, success in this role will require comfort working with multiple internal and external partners on tight deadlines combined with a commitment to service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use high-level statistics to conduct research, define staffing/workforce trends, analyze root causes of potential problems/concerns, deliver workforce analyses, reports, and trends, develop solutions to improve Home Depot's talent acquisition processes and establish measurement systems to control the processes

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of available data to understand customer's needs, help problem solve and contribute data to improve performance, such as improving retention and reducing time-to-hire

  • Optimize talent acquisition and processes across the enterprise to attract, motivate and retain the best talent

  • Establish talent acquisition processes with tailored procedures to accommodate business needs

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Position Reports to Manager, Talent Acquisition

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Competencies:

  • Ability to assimilate extensive amounts of detailed data to see the big picture, analyze, and summarize vast amounts of information as well as understand all of the data supporting the analysis

  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Vision, Word) and other related computer programs

  • Solid understanding in survey methodology, design, content, data collection and data analysis/mining/statistical analysis

  • Strong written and grammatical skills

  • Strong problem solving skills: react quickly and appropriately to staffing/recruitment problems; follows up in a timely manner on issues not immediately resolvable
