Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia, 30329, United States. The role involves managing and supporting an early-life Hyper-V environment. The successful candidate will be expected to address existing pain points and effectively utilize Azure Arc and SCVMM.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the setup, shutdown, maintenance, and patching of the Hyper-V environment.
• Address existing issues related to large-scale patching orchestration and storage quota management.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive runbook for the new Hyper-V environment.
• Provide early life support for the Hyper-V environment.
• Utilize Azure Arc and SCVMM effectively for better system management.
• Work towards integrating several VMs that are virtual FortiGates, part of a FortiGate AVPN.
• Leverage skills in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Database, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, AB Testing, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Azure.
• Handle the migration from VMware to Hyper-V, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
• Work towards resolving issues related to software-defined networking within the Hyper-V environment.
Requirements • Demonstrable experience in Systems Engineering role is essential
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required
• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies is a must
• Solid understanding and experience with Database management
• Proficiency in Dell Technologies is a necessity
• Experience with EO/IR systems is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with AB Testing is vital
• Proficiency in Active Directory is needed
• Previous experience with Backup Technologies is important
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware is required
• Familiarity with Configuration Management is a must
• Experience with Hyper-V is beneficial
