Google Supplier Quality Technical Program Manager, Mechanical, Data Centers in Atlanta, Georgia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program or technical project management.

  • Experience with design or manufacturing or operation of mechanical standby-power, or HVAC Infrastructure Equipment.

  • Experience in supplier quality management with systems deploying to mission critical facilities.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Blackbelt, Auditor Certifications, American Society for Quality certification (CSQP, CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA) or equivalent certification/experience.

  • 4 years of experience analyzing data and creating reports with statistical, quantitative modeling, and forecasting.

  • Knowledge of Mechanical and HVAC Infrastructure equipment installation/deployment at Data Centers or other mission critical facilities.

  • Knowledge of Mechanical Standards applied to Mission Critical Operations (e.g., ANSI, ASME, APQP, etc.).

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and process control, with experience with application of statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP/SAS/Minitab).

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time as needed.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work with supplier partners managing critical aspects of mechanical infrastructure systems supplier quality, collaborate with design engineers, commodity managers, manufacturing engineers, operation program managers, and product managers to drive high quality products.

  • Perform Failure Analysis to establish true root causes, and systemic corrective actions with preventative solutions.

  • Provide analytical leadership to statistically connect production line metrics, tests, and quality audits to field performance.

  • Validate supplier product life-cycle Quality deliverables defined by Google and leverage industry quality standards like PPAP.

  • Conduct supplier audits, inspect production facilities/lines, articulate quality improvement activities to reduce variability, improve predictability, streamline lead time, improve output quality, and partner with suppliers to solve product quality and process issues across the full product life-cycle.
