Strategic Provider Account Director
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates must live within 50 miles of a PulsePoint location.
The Strategic Provider Account Director is responsible for being a primary point of contact /central interface between strategic healthcare delivery systems, provider groups, and Elevance Health’s internal stakeholders. Owns the relationship, end to end, post contract for strategic initiatives and execution of core growth tactics for a defined set of strategic provider partners across Elevance Health for all applicable business segments.
How you will make an impact:
• This role is dedicated to strategic providers with complex operating structures such as value-based payment arrangements and diverse integration /risk contracting strategies, can include multiple large hospital systems (exceeding $1B in spend) and/or strategic growth partner IPAs, and care extenders, and MA strategic provider growth partners.
• Acts as an advocate for their portfolio of strategic providers; fully understands their operating /business model and proactively identifies provider needs and recommends ways to improve existing relationships through best practices.
• Identifies opportunities to increase the cost of care savings as well as the provider group’s performance in quality-of-care indicators.
• Manages the relationship and provides leadership to a dedicated matrixed team accountable for contracting, value-based payment account management, claims processing, and operations issue resolution, as well as care delivery transformation support, provider enablement, and clinical subject matter experts.
• Responsible for monitoring contract performance, including performance on Star, MRA, CoC, and additional areas of opportunity, and overall monitoring of day-to-day program activities and deliverables across all lines of business, business segments, and workgroups.
• Accountable for strategy in the resolution and escalation of issues and barriers to success as required.
• Engages appropriate internal matrixed resources to deliver on escalated service issues and appropriate process improvement initiatives.
• Leads executive steering committees and joint operating forums.
• Coordinates communications strategy on such issues as administrative and medical policy, contract reimbursement changes, and provider utilization patterns.
• Must have a strategic mindset to navigate the various segments, business areas, states, and complex providers.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 8 years experience in contracting, provider relations, provider servicing; experience must include prior contracting experience and/or account management or sales; and/or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 5 years of experience in complex relationship management, account management, or sales; or any combination of education and experience strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
• Leadership experience (5 yrs direct or 8 yrs indirect) and strong understanding of value-based payment arrangements and diverse integration /risk contracting strategies preferred.
• Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $128,772 to $211,554
