The Data Solutions division is the commercial data business of Moody's Analytics, bringing together a vast catalogue of data to help business decision-makers assess risks and opportunities. Product Overview- Catalyst

The Catalyst products are a suite of workflow platforms tailored to the needs of different departments in a company that manages risk. There are different versions of Catalyst for compliance analysts, credit analysts and supply chain managers, but all these workflows are built on top of the same infrastructure. The Catalysts enable users to combine data from Moody's Orbis database of over 400 million companies with the customer's own proprietary data (such as internal identifiers, credit scores, etc.) to make faster, better decisions about the risk in their portfolio of existing customers, or the risks of onboarding a new customer.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major from top institutions, Master's degree is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented design and development
  • 8+years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience with C# programming
  • Experience with implementing Microservice designs
  • Experience with web technologies JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, XML
  • Experienced in Application Frameworks and Engines: ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET WEB API, .NET Framework and .NET Core
  • Experienced in Development tools: Visual Stu io, GitHub.
  • Experienced in Development Platforms: Microsoft Windows, IIS.
  • Familiarity with Databases SQL or NoSQL is a plus
  • Familiarity with React or TypeScript is a plus
  • Able to work well within the constructs of an agile development process, including SCRUM, Unit Testing, Continuous Build, and Integration, etc.
  • Willing to learn new technologies, capable of self-directed learning.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently and independently manage time
  • Works well in a fast-paced team environment; able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Day-to-Day:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced C# Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in back-end development, specifically with C# (or Java or other back-end languages). Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Help maintain Legacy software applications using C# and the .NET Framework
  • Participate in exploratory and execution of .NET Framework to .NET Core migrations
  • Participate in exploratory and execution of Microservice implementations
  • Work with SQA and DevOps Engineers to improve code quality and automation efforts
  • Use Git for version control and collaborate with other developers on the team
  • Expand Unit test coverage for new and existing code bases
  • Write complex SQL queries to interact with databases
  • Implement object-oriented programming principles and SOLID principles
  • Work with JavaScript to create dynamic, interactive user interfaces
  • Adhere to Agile software development methodologies
  • Work with JSON and XML data formats
  • Use Visual Studio as the primary development environment
  • Create and consume REST APIs
  • Understand and implement Model View Controller pattern

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $163,200 to $236,550 depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
