Software Engineer IIIAtlanta, GA USA
Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Android Mobile Developer with extensive experience in Android app development and proficiency in C++. As a Senior Android Mobile Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, optimize existing code, and ensure the reliability and responsiveness of our mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
Drive the technical vision and direction of the team or organization
Lead and oversee the implementation of the most critical and complex projects
Mentor developers and provide technical leadership to the entire team
Ensure alignment of technical solutions with business strategy and goals
Establish and enforce top-level coding standards, practices, and development methodologies
Engage with stakeholders at all levels to shape and influence technical and product strategy
Promote innovation and the adoption of new technologies and practices within the team
Qualification:
6+ years of software development experience on C++, Android or Java-based platforms, with expertise in the C++ programming languages.
4+ years of experience with Android development
4+ years of experience with RxJava, MVVM, Redux, JNI
3+ years of experience with C++ and NDK
Strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices for mobile app development.
Experience with integrating C++ programming language with Android applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
An understanding of how to make apps scalable and resilient, with the testing know-how to prove that they are.
Prior use of distributed source code systems in a professional environment (e.g., GitHub)
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE...
Experience with C++ 98, C++ 11 and C++ 14
A history writing Deployment and/or Test Automation
Building and extending CI/CD Pipelines using GitHub or equivalent
An understanding of Cloud computing environments
Familiar with GitHub CI/CD tools
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Prior leadership experience or roles in tech lead capacities.
Familiar with cloud/web technologies such as C# (ASP.NET), TypeScript, Java, C++, Scala, and Kafka
Experience in testing frameworks like Playwright and Cucumber
Experience with agile concepts, especially Scrum
Experience of using Jira and Confluence
Experience developing retail or restaurants applications, Point of Sale, orpayment applications is a plus.
