Home Depot Software Engineer-Salesforce in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Purpose:

The Software Engineer is responsible for assisting in developing and designing a product that Home Depot customers and associates will love. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team with engineers of all experience levels who help each other build and grow technical and leadership skills while creating, deploying, and supporting production applications. In addition, Software Engineers may be involved in product configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning and production monitoring.

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years in Salesforce Development experience to include configuration, customization, programming with APEX, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Triggers, Workflows with actions, Approval Processes, Reports & Dashboards. Experience with Javascript, HTML CSS and ANT.

  • Experience with Salesforce.com architecture and APIs.

  • Experience in building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems.

  • Interface directly with end users/product owner to assist with requirements clarification and high priority issue resolution

  • Conduct code and configuration reviews to ensure adherence to team standards, maintainability, and scalability

  • Perform quality assurance activities to guarantee high-quality deliverables

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user manuals

  • Collaborate with fellow Salesforce developers to help design the best possible technical implementations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and testers, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of Salesforce solutions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to architect scalable and sustainable solutions that align with business needs and long-term goals

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and best practices

  • Evaluate new technologies and trends to identify opportunities for improving existing solutions

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
