Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Healthcare Sales Manager to join our team (Western and Central Region – North America).
This role focuses on engaging with architects, electrical engineers, lighting designers, multisite healthcare systems, and other influencers within the healthcare lighting industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lighting technology and controls, combined with exceptional sales skills to drive growth and revenue within the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate the healthcare lighting market. Identify key stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts and develop relationships to drive sales opportunities. The primary focus of this role will be to drive profitable growth in Acuity’s Healthcare vertical
Build Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with electrical engineers, architects, lighting designers, and other influencers in the healthcare industry. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on lighting solutions and controls tailored to their specific needs
Product Knowledge and Education : Stay up to date with the latest advancements in lighting technology and controls, particularly as they relate to healthcare settings. Educate clients on the benefits and features of our products, demonstrating how they can enhance patient outcomes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Be the technical and rating/listing experts in their field, and become the source of knowledge for healthcare decision makers
Solution Selling: Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and challenges. Propose comprehensive lighting and controls solutions that align with their goals and objectives
Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including pipeline management, account updates, and sales forecasts. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement
Brand Evangelist – Responsible for promoting, educating, and inspiring towards the medical expert brand, serving as the tip of the spear of driving healthcare vertical revenue
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
Proven track record of success in sales, with a focus on healthcare lighting and controls preferred
Strong understanding of lighting technology, controls systems, and their applications in healthcare environments
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive results
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for exceeding targets and delivering exceptional customer service
Proficiency in SalesForce CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

The range for this position is $80,400.00 to $144,700.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
