Intuit Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Mailchimp) in Atlanta, Georgia

Our team, Engineering Enablement, is responsible for improving the overall developer experience through tooling and creating a better environment for operations. We dedicate our efforts towards maintaining the CI/CD deployment tools as well as maintaining and developing the Intuit Mailchimp Development Environment. Our goal is to provide the engineering teams with a seamless deployment process that encourages building and innovating. Currently, we are adapting our environment to cloud development and supporting a cloud-focused CI/CD tooling. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our journey of developing, improving, and supporting the processes and governance for creating, promoting, and deploying, and building applications for developers and other internal customers.

Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace (https://www.intuit.com/careers/return-to-work-plan/) , with the option to collaborate in person with team members at our Atlanta, GA office for two or more days per week.

What you'll bring

  • You have 4 or more years of experience building and operating large infrastructure environments and extensive experience working within and developing for large-scale development environments.

  • You are as comfortable working with and improving upon legacy systems and code as you are building new features and applications.

  • You have strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a software development environment, with capability in frontend or backend development.

  • You have experience developing new and enhancing existing features as well as investigating and resolving defects.

  • You adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices.

  • You ensure quality by performing thorough testing and leveraging peer reviews for your work and the work of others.

  • You have experience with PHP, Python, Go, Java, Kubernetes and/or AWS.

How you will lead

  • Maintain the infrastructure and tools necessary for the successful deployment of applications.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues, and take corrective action as needed.

  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools to facilitate the deployment of applications and services.

  • Develop and maintain system security and compliance, policies and procedures.

  • Monitor system performance and capacity, and take corrective action as needed.

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts, and other technical documents.

  • Research and evaluate new technologies to improve system performance and reliability.

  • Provide technical support to other teams as needed.

  • Empower team members by providing technical guidance and mentorship
