Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the SharePoint sites and pages team, to help drive the next wave of innovation on the SharePoint pages experience and drive business growth to the platform. In this role, you will drive a new wave of innovation for the world’s top enterprise publishing system, brainstorm new integrations with other Microsoft products, and advance the reach of the product to new distribution channels. Work on a publishing system that empowers internal teams and external developers to create appealing and powerful content that increases employee engagement and connection. Create innovative new capabilities and types of content to meet changing customer needs.

SharePoint experiences is a modern Product Managment (PM) organization running product management for one of the largest business services on the planet. The team runs lean with high span of control among managers and more senior PMs than company average, ensuring high impact from the PM team and a focus on product and customers.  We empower our industry leading design and user research teams to lead the user experience of our product.  And we take a direct role in framing our business value directly to our customers and vibrant community of fans.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Manager, you will help shape our backlog and drive initiatives that drive innovation into the SharePoint pages authoring experience and platform, leading to measurable increases in user satisfaction and engagement. You will also be accountable for driving awareness and excitement for these initiatives across our internal and external stakeholders and ensure feedback from internal leaders, external partners, and customers get channeled back into our plan and the product. You will:

  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Research, as well as your peers in PM a to deliver great and delightful end-to-end experiences.

  • Partner closely within the SharePoint organization as well as partners in other organizations to deliver features that millions of customers benefit from

  • Deliver telemetry, dashboards and experiments to measure the success of these features

  • Engage with customers, both directly & indirectly, in formal and informal opportunities from conferences like Ignite to calls with customers to connect directly with them. 

  • Connect with key partners & influencers across the company as appropriate.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product management

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product management

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience handling successful delivery from initial strategy to engineering requirements to audience/user adoption. 

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and across levels of management.

  • Problem solver who continuously strives to make things better.

  • Experience with web apps, content creation or content systems.

  • Experience with web publishing and authoring tools.

  • Current understanding of modern web publishing systems; constraints and be willing to push the limits and apply creative solutions that support the growth of the business.

  • Proven ability to foster a healthy team culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging, and collaboration.

  • Continuous learner and open collaborator who appreciates and builds on the work of others.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
