Oracle Senior Principal Product Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Description

This Senior Principal Product Manager position is for someone who is passionate about potential of the fintech and digital assets to change the industry landscape for traditional finance and transform how they do business. Someone who is comfortable presenting to C-level executives and conducting a hands-on workshop for developers. As a senior PM in a world-wide geographically dispersed team, you will be at the ground level of fintech adoption across many segments of the financial services and other industries and will play a key role in Oracle’s fintech data platform go-to-market planning and execution.

You must have good understanding of the distributed ledger concepts from technology and business application perspective. As a leading subject matter expert in regulated use of digital assets (e.g., Central Bank Digital Currency, Deposit Tokens for peer-to-peer digital asset and information transfer systems, tokenized securities and Real-World Asset transfer and management, etc. ) you should be able to define broad systems interactions, while being very hands-on, able to explore any part of the stack and explain the underlying technology principles, Oracle’s solutions differentiators, and roadmap to customer executives, IT and business leaders, architects, and developers. You should be able to deploy and demonstrate Oracle’s technology, develop compelling demos integrating blockchain and other Oracle technologies, and help customers develop and troubleshoot POCs. You should also be excited to delve into customer business challenges, learn the relevant issues in financial services, payments, trade finance, supply chain, and other application domains to identify blockchain opportunities and propose solutions.

This position may involve moderate travel with a mix of inbound and outbound PM responsibilities. It will be very hands-on with the products comprising the platform, involving close collaboration with product engineering, QA, and documentation teams in agile environment. The PM will also engage with many teams involved in supporting GTM, develop content for marketing assets, deliver training workshops, and provide deal support to the field teams and partners around the world to enable, engage, discover, navigate, and support deals through pre-sales phases and to support post-sale delivery by Oracle and partner consulting teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in PM or Architecture role in enterprise software and/or cloud services with progressively increasing responsibilities for defining, architecting, and bringing to market large scale, highly available distributed systems

  • 3+ years of in-depth, hands-on experience with permissioned enterprise blockchain technology, preferably Hyperledger Fabric or permissioned Ethereum implementation

  • 3+ years of working with banks and other regulated financial institutions on solutions in payments, settlement, etc. with fintech innovations

  • Self-starter, motivated and ambitious. Looking to grow in a fast moving organization. Strong sense of ownership and ability to wear many different hats and work on multiple deliverables in parallel

  • Great verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills; able to present and document ideas in a concise and articulate manner

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, collateral building, white papers, articles, blogs, etc.

  • Proven experience in defining requirements through initiatives, epics, stories, and customer journeys

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to form a deep understanding of market/customer needs and competitive offerings

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate successfully outside of authority while leveraging Oracle expertise and resources

  • BS degree in computer science or engineering or MBA degree with a computer science or engineering undergrad degree

Technical Qualifications

  • Recognized expertise in FinTech applications of blockchain as evidenced by industry participation, publications and/or awards

  • Strong understanding of security technologies: PKI, cryptography, identity management, wallets

  • Understanding of financial markets infrastructure and FMI interactions using ISO20022 messaging

  • Understanding of microservices architecture and Kubernetes infrastructure

  • Familiarity with distributed systems fundamentals, transaction management, distributed persistence technologies

  • Experience and/or knowledge in open source development

  • Strong ability to use Confluence, Jira, and related tools in performing PM tasks

  • Experience of managing end-to-end product life cycle for cloud PaaS services

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,400 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
