Openings available for Senior Manager, Software Engineering, RandD, SCOPE at Manhattan Associates, Inc. in Atlanta, GA: Senior manager responsible for managing, through multiple cross-functional teams of software engineers, quality assurance engineers, business analysts and/or managers, software application development for enhancements and new products. Select, develop and evaluate personnel to include responsibility for annual reviews. Resolve team issues. Oversees subordinates to include review of analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification to products. Manage personnel and staffing budget analysis, labor planning, issue resolution, and the coordination of activities of company personnel. Monitor employee contribution to project completion from initiation through delivery to ensure product is on schedule and within budget. Oversee the development of design requirements for systems or databases.
Requires a four-year bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field and 7 years of experience in the position offered or 7 years of experience developing, supporting, or implementing application software. Also requires 7 years of experience developing with C++ or Java (in lieu of aforementioned experience, employer will accept 7 years of experience with both JavaScript and HTML); and working in Linux or UNIX operating systems. Requires 5 years of experience utilizing WebSphere, Jboss, or WebLogic application servers. Requires 3 years of experience developing with Oracle or DB2 database; and leading small teams in the design and development of software. Requires 2 years of experience developing with Spring, JEE, JSP, or JSF frameworks. Position reports to Atlanta, GA office. Company offers flexible work from home schedule, but in-office work is required and individual must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
