Jacobs Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Senior Civil Engineer in Atlanta, GA to support our infrastructure design projects.

As a key member of our Civil Site and Conveyance team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects ranging from small site design to large campus or facility infrastructure upgrades. You’ll get to work on projects involving site development, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, and conveyance. This may include planning/study documents, preliminary design, detailed design, permitting documents, and engineering reports. You’ll work closely with our talented project teams through all phases of plan production as we carry projects from concept design to bid-ready documents.

The successful candidate should be comfortable designing, leading, and managing his or her own projects. The candidate should work well in a team environment and be comfortable guiding and mentoring junior engineers. He or she should be highly self-motivated and value a high quality of work. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other applicable engineering field

• Minimum of 15+ years engineering experience in developing design drawings and specifications for water and sanitary sewer pipelines, pump stations, site layout, grading and drainage, and erosion control design

• Proficiency in leading and managing the execution of civil design projects from start to finish

• Experience in verifying the work of assigned project team members for accuracy and compliance with standards and specifications

• Demonstrated project leadership and management experience including leading and managing small to mid-size, multi-disciplined engineering projects

• Ability to multi-task in delivering large and/or multiple smaller projects within budget and in conformance with the contract documents

• Experience with leading and preparing proposals, developing a detailed scope of work, budget, and schedule

• Familiarity working with local municipalities

• Familiarity and provision of guidance on permitting requirements for both new and rehabilitation projects.

• Passion for developing and mentor junior staff

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (especially with teammates and clients)

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite and PDF editors (e.g. BlueBeam)

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

• CAD/C3D proficiency

• Familiar with AutoTurn and drainage programs such as Hydraflow Hydrographs, Hydraflow,

Storm Sewers, Culvertmaster, Flowmaster

• Construction support services experience
