Project Coordinator (LRP and Outage Coordinator) (E3-6) – Transmission Project Management Organization (PMO)
JOB SUMMARY
The Long-Range Planning (LRP) and Outage Project Coordinator will support Project Managers in overseeing the development of transmission line and substation capital construction projects within Georgia. This role involves assisting in various aspects of project management to ensure successful project delivery, high standards of quality, and stakeholder satisfaction. Additionally, the LRP and Outage Project Coordinator will be working as a liaison between PMO Project Managers, PMO Project Coordinators, Gatekeepers and Georgia Control Center (GCC) for data request, outage planning and conflict resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support: Assist in the planning and coordination of transmission line and substation projects, ensuring alignment with customer and business objectives.
Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all assigned projects have gate appropriate documentation; including construction/outage plans.
Coordination: Support the coordination of the construction and outage planning, overall area outage planning in conjunction with assigned area PM/PC.
Equipment Management: Assist in forecasting and slotting of major equipment for all projects.
Monitoring and Tracking : Monitor project progress, schedules, and budgets. Identify and report potential issues to the Project Manager and Project Coordinator.
Stakeholder Management : Assist in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations, address concerns, and ensure a high level of satisfaction and collaboration.
Organizational Duties: Assist and support project managers and project coordinators with managerial items that include but are not limited to scheduling and coordinating project meetings, note taking, and recording attendance.
Risk Management : Help identify, assess, and manage project risks to minimize impact on project delivery and outcomes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
Preferred Certifications include Project Management Professional or other related project management certifications.
PE Certification a plus.
Experience with project management experience is a plus.
Experience in electric utility industry is preferred.
Transmission systems or field operations experience preferred.

Proficiency in project management software and tools is a plus.
