Job Summary:

Develops product strategy for a market, product type or product line of business (LOB) in addition to performing regular ideation sessions focused on building a robust product pipeline to achieve market goals. Applying an advanced understanding when driving performance for their respective market, product type or product LOB, its competitors, their performance and shortcomings along with KP product performance. Brings the organization together to perform product feasibility on any initiative, product type or portfolio. Defines and executes the development of the product or initiative through executive alignment and influence for implementation, providing cross-functional service recovery and issues resolution, as assigned. Acts as the product authority to the organization, S&AM, and outside consultants to enable a high degree of sales and customer support and serves as a subject matter expert and consultant for multiple markets, LOBs, products, portfolios, workstreams, or initiatives. Writes and develops for complex business-development initiatives. Drives the development and maintenance of their market, product type, or product LOB requirements and ensuring they meet the needs of the market, members, and KP objectives. Manages a defined set of product implementations from simple to complex across markets, products, LOBs, and post-implementation transition to operations. Develops and delivers all product training and change management actives across their respective markets, products, and LOBs. Leverages a deep understanding and experience of product policy, end-to-end product administration, and content area knowledge working with Underwriting, Actuarial Services, Regulatory, and Benefits.

Develops work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines; coordinates and delegates resources to accomplish organizational goals. Recognizes and capitalizes on improvement opportunities; evaluates recommendations made; influences the completion of project tasks by others.

  • Participates in business-case development by: writing and developing for complex initiatives.

  • Facilitates product implementation or program management by: managing a defined set of product implementations from simple to complex across markets, products, LOBs, and post-implementation transition to operations.

  • Facilitates product portfolio feasibility and development by: bringing the organization together to perform product feasibility on any initiative, product type, or portfolio; and defining and executing the development of the product or initiative through executive alignment and influence for implementation.

  • Applies product knowledge by: leveraging a deep understanding and experience of product policy, end-to-end product administration, and content area knowledge working with Underwriting, Actuarial Services, Regulatory, and Benefits.

  • Facilitating product training and change management by: developing and delivering all product training and change management actives independently across their respective markets, products, and LOBs.

  • Facilitates team management by: managing a matrixed team for multiple markets, LOBs, product, portfolio, workstream, or initiatives.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience leading matrixed teams with or without direct reports.

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university AND minimum eight (8) years of experience in health care, product development and management, strategy development and execution, finance, sales and account management, marketing, consulting, benefits, program management, or a directly related field OR minimum eleven (11) years of experience in health care, product development and management, strategy development and execution, finance, sales and account management, marketing, consulting, benefits, program management, or a directly related field.
