Your new role…

As a Product Designer on the mobile apps team you are a member of the world-class CNN Digital Product Design Team, which is responsible for creating industry-leading user experiences engaged by millions across the globe. CNN Digital is driven by a shared commitment to put our users at the center of the experiences we build and to push the boundaries on what an exceptional digital experience can be. The Product Designer is an experienced product designer, who’ll collaborate with fellow design, product, engineering, research, editorial, and analytics to create tools that enable journalists to tell immersive and impactful stories that inform and delight users. In this role you will have the opportunity to impact the future of CNN’s digital experience, one of the most trusted news organizations in the world, and at the same time impact CNN’s bottom line.

Your role accountabilities:

• You will be an integral part of the product design team that is creating the next generation of CNN mobile

apps, from small iterative improvements to long term vision.

• You will be embedded in a cross functional squad and attend all squad and team ceremonies and be a part

of a collaborative culture across CNN Digital.

• You’ll partner closely with senior product designers across the organization, product managers and

engineering on features and tickets, helping to shape requirements and deliver detailed final files for build.

• As a team member, you’ll take part in and collaborate with your cross functional team on QA and testing.

• You will collaborate with product and user research on plans for testing and research.

• You are encouraged to challenge the status quo, understanding the boundaries of mobile technology, and

the CNN business; but most importantly knowing when to push it.

• You’ll utilize our Design System patterns as needed to contribute and create new, cross-platform compatible

components.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 0-2 years' work experience as a digital designer.

• Knowledge of visual design elements including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.

• Design portfolio highlighting work in native mobile experiences.

• Familiarity with collaboration with internal stakeholders such as product management and engineering.

• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.

• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.

• Interest in content creation, strategy, and communication is desirable; media experience is a plus

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $72,800.00 - $135,200.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
