In support of organizational requirements and aspirations: Provisions, maintains, and monitors multi-platform servers, operating systems, utilities, and related software; Supports the availability, integrity, and reliability of on-premises and cloud systems; Collaborates with infrastructure, operations, application development, and client services teams to deliver, maintain, and support services for our clientele communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years System Admin experience in an academic or research environment

  • Solid working knowledge of RedHat Enterprise Linux version 6/7

  • Expertise in the configuration, administration, and integration of Linux-based server systems

  • Experience configuring and administering cloud-based applications, associated cloud services and resources, integrated environments, virtualized containers, systems, storage and networks to support complex research programs

  • Experience managing and maintaining user accounts, memberships and privileges within an on-premises, virtual machine, and cloud services integrated environment

  • Experience monitoring resource utilization, requests, audit mechanisms, key metrics and indicators

  • Experience adjusting and reconfiguring resources and workflows as appropriate to optimize performance and manage cost

  • Experience with generation of utilization and billing reports

  • Experience configuring and administering Windows and Apple Servers

  • Working knowledge of MS Active Directory and group policy

  • Experience with Shell scripting in bash or csh, and PowerShell

  • Certifications in the following areas are a plus: Security+, Network+, AWS Certifications, Microsoft and RedHat certifications

  • Familiarity or certification in ITIL methodologies
