MISSION:

TheNew Business Development Advisor through Innovation – Tray and Cooking Solutions team, is responsible for leading and supporting new product sales related to cooking solutions, trays, enhanced microwave, and plastic replacement. The expectation is to identify new opportunities, assist sales with being the subject matter expert, and excel in project management.

He or she will ensure GPI continues to expand its portfolio of innovative packaging solutions that drives organic growth by protecting the core and growing in new markets. He or she shall identify new opportunities for innovation, be able to coordinate resources for development and execution of new designs, and work with teams on market sizing and growth targets. This person will also need to keep up with current markets as well as maintain knowledge of new and emerging trends (Technical, legislative, and market), to ensure portfolio development is aligned with market needs.

This person will be expected to work closely with Marketing, Design, R&D, NPD, Sales, and commercial leaders to identify opportunities and lead key projects as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and drive innovation project’s ensuring developed briefs are written and understood.

  • Engage with customers to fully understand the development needs for new markets and products.

  • Work with Marketing, sales, R&D, and Finance to better define innovation opportunities, build business cases for evaluation, prioritization, and planning.

  • Ensure cross-fertilization of information across functions and geographical area’s

  • Jointly with the commercial team, develop the innovation pipeline.

  • Support sales in the field as a SME to sell innovation.

  • Utilizing software programs such as SAP, SF.com, Excel, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 5 - 10+ years in business/new product development/sales experience in B2B or B2C

  • Education: MBA (desirable), degree in packaging, engineering, or marketing

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Pay Range: $123,795.00 - $165,060.00
