Briarcliff Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Our well-established, AAHA-accredited 8-doctor practice is open 7am - 7pm on weekdays, 7am - 5pm Saturdays, closed on Sundays.

Our wide range of services include primary care, illness care, soft tissue and laparoscopic surgery, dentistry, endoscopy, ultrasound, laser therapy, boarding, grooming, and much more. We see dogs, cats, and some of our doctors see exotic species as well.

About the Role

As LVT, you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients, clients, and team. Duties will include:

  • Compassionate patient care

  • Client education and care

  • Venipuncture and catheter placement

  • Medication preparation and administration

  • Radiology and diagnostics

  • Lab sample collection and processing

  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint

  • Medical recordkeeping

  • Surgical preparation and assisting

  • Anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery

  • Dentistry - cleaning, polishing, radiology, charting, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Georgia Veterinary Technician license or eligible to obtain (completion of AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program, VTNE, etc.)

  • Compassion for patients, clients and team

  • Solid knowledge of preventative care, common illnesses and emergencies, veterinary nursing, anesthesia, and dentistry strongly preferred

  • Proficient in technical skills like blood draws, catheter placement, medication and fluid therapy administration, diagnostics, anesthesia

  • Able to lift 40lbs+ and proficient in dog and cat patient handling

  • Proficiency with computers, tablets, electronic medical records

Compensation: Based on skills, credentials, education, and experience, ranging into the $20's per hour for highly qualified licensed candidates.

Qualifications:

  • Georgia Veterinary Technician license (LVT) or eligible to obtain license upon hire required

  • Compassion for patients, clients and team

  • Solid knowledge and experience with veterinary anesthesia, surgical nursing, dentistry, preventative care, common illnesses and emergencies

  • Proficient in technical skills like blood draws, catheter placement, medication and fluid therapy administration, diagnostics, anesthesia

  • Experience with surgical instruments and equipment

  • Able to lift 40lbs+ and proficient in dog and cat patient handling

  • Proficiency with computers, tablets, electronic medical records
