Jacobs Junior Project Controls Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia
• Establish and leverage cross-discipline relationships within the project team to facilitate cost control.
• Provide cost control support on project team
• Review and understand the project contract. Administer project controls that support contract requirements.
• Implement and execute proper controls to proactively support, monitor, and communicate budget, actual status, and forecast costs, labor hours, and quantities for projects.
• Support the development of accurate and timely project cost forecasts with the participation of lead staff and project management. The forecasts should be valued and used by the project team to contribute to the overall management of the project.
• Develop and issue timely cost reports. Prepare and issue cost analysis narratives including recommendations for corrective actions used by the project team to manage the work.
• Create and issue client and internal status reports that effectively communicate cost status and trends.
• Reviews and recommends approvals of pay applications and invoices from contractors, architects, and consultants. Confirms billing accuracy from both an accounting and progress completion standpoint.
• Manage, and monitor procedures for cost and information control systems.
• Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of project contingencies, allowances, and amounts remaining of both for reporting purposes to client and project team.
• Responsible for processing contract change orders and invoice payments in client systems.
• Completes audit reporting from vendors and customer.
• Update project weekly and monthly reports using inputs from project staff and client staff.
Bachelor’s Degree
Excellent communication skills and understanding of technical terminology.
Willingness to learn engineering and construction cost tracking practices
Good writing skills
Understand the relationships between the project controls functions of estimating, planning/scheduling, and cost control.
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel: Table (Vlookup, Index, Filtering, Data manipulation & summarization) and Excel Functions
Ability to manage team functions and activities
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

MS Project
Ability to develop cost and management presentations both graphically, written, and verbally.
