Description

Robert Half HR Solutions is currently partnering with a client that is looking to add an HR Specialist with a focus on ADA to their team. As an HR Specialist focusing on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the organization complies with all ADA requirements both in spirit and in practice. The main focus of your job will be to develop policies, conduct training, and spearhead initiatives surrounding recruitment, screening, accommodations, compliance, and hiring best practices related to Title I and Title II of the American with Disabilities act.

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop, suggest, and implement ADA-compliant policies and procedures across the organization.

•Conduct thorough ADA-focused training and workshops for all HR personnel and managers.

•Implement effective recruitment and hiring strategies, ensuring all processes are ADA-compliant and focused on diversity and inclusivity.

•Provide consultation and advice on reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities.

•Monitor the organization's compliance with ADA, identifying any areas of concern and suggesting changes as necessary.

•Develop and implement an effective communication strategy about ADA policies to internal and external stakeholders.

•Establish partnerships with organizations that help to promote disability inclusiveness.

•Stay abreast of all changes and developments in ADA regulations, sharing updates with the team as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields is required.

•Master's degree will be considered as a plus.

•Must have in-depth knowledge and experience with ADA.

•Interest in diversity, inclusivity, and ADA compliance and a commitment to promoting the same within the organization.

•Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

•Prior experience as an ADA Coordinator would be an advantage.

•ACTPC, CPACC and SHRM-CP certifications are strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in the implementation of ADA accommodations.

• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.

• Ability to provide HR solutions in line with company policies and legal requirements.

• Commitment to promoting an inclusive and diverse workplace.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
