Amazon Finance Manager, AWS Infra Networking FP&A in Atlanta, Georgia

AWS Finance seeks a Finance Manager to join the Networking Finance FP&A team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Networking, broader Infrastructure Finance team and Accounting teams. The role will involve leading multiple workstreams under planning, reporting, developing controllership and driving automation and simplification.

The right candidate will possess a history of driving cross-functional collaboration and working independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate comes from a strong financial modeling background, has a passion for improving existing processes, and will participate in developing best-in-class finance practice across the entire AWS organization. The candidate should also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key job responsibilities

  • Support key FP&A activities (Month end, planning cycles, automation projects)

  • Establish strong relationships across the Infrastructure and FP&A community and with key business partners

  • Be a thought leader to drive continuous improvement, simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions

  • Manage and develop scalable financial tools or reports that align and simplify, monthly business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes

  • Provide business support to various finance teams by providing data driven insights into variances and trends

  • Analyze trends, formulate projections, and evaluate savings initiatives, present findings and recommendations to Senior Leaders

  • Managing the Networking Finance control structure including understanding and implementing Amazon’s financial and regulatory compliance

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field, or Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
