Newell Brands Finance Analyst, DTC in Atlanta, Georgia
Job Overview:
The Financial Analyst will provide analytical and decision support to the Direct-To-Consumers (DTC) Team. This role will manage and execute the timely preparation and consolidation of financial reporting to support Newell financial operating rhythms. The successful candidate will also support buildout of enterprise sales finance capabilities and tools with the opportunity to independently manage high profile projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate and partner with DTC Team to build and optimize business plans.
Analyze and explain P&L drivers for the period vs. forecast, budget, and prior year.
Actively monitor and report against key performance and financial metrics.
Provide financial decision support and expertise to DTC Team.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and provide insights and recommendations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, as timeline to action may be tight and require significant cross-functional coordination.
Results driven behavior acting with sense of urgency and with the ability to recommend and make decisions quickly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline
1-2 years of related Finance experience, preferably within a division of a CPG
Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate analysis results in a simple, concise manner.
Proficient in Excel functions and formulas, including vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, and if-then statements.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal communication.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to be successful in a geographically dispersed, hybrid Team environment.
