JOB DESCRIPTION
• This position is responsible for 50% or less mechanical design of construction projects on Tinker Air Force Base
• Reviews engineering plans and specifications for compliance with federal and state regulations, and ensures that design formats comply with applicable guidance.
• Prepares required documentation to ensure project designs are suitable for solicitation through the base contracting office.
• Participates in the construction planning process by investigating proposed projects to obtain field data, check existing facilities and utilities, and to conceptualize the scope of the completed project.
• Furnishes sketches and layouts supplemented by verbal or written information for preparation of drawings.
• Prepares modification/alteration design specifications considering existing structures, utilities, facilities and other considerations of projects that are not readily apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required
• Licensed EIT or intending to take the FE exam within the next 6 months
• Proficient in Revit and Design Savvy
• Building Systems Focused (not products) primarily for commercial projects
