HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

As Carter’s continues to drive momentum in our digital channels, we are looking for a collaborative, customer-centric Site Merchandiser to join our eCommerce team for the summer. The eCommerce Site Merchandiser will help define and execute a best-in-class eCommerce experience to help busy parents easily find what they need so they can confidently dress their kids.

The ideal candidate is innovative, takes initiative, and is customer focused. This person should have experience creatively solving problems using technical tools and processes to support business objectives. They will be a crucial cross-functional partner to multiple teams -- Merchandising, Planning, UX/UI, Marketing, and Creative -- working together to develop and implement strategies that increase eCommerce sales and conversion. This role typically reports to a Site Manager or Sr. Site Manager and is based in our Atlanta, GA office in our hybrid work environment.

60%: Marketing Campaign Support

  • Assist team on executing homepage updates and marketing campaigns including developing and communicating linking strategies across homepage, email, and social channels, attributing products, and merchandising destinations to bring campaign visions to life in a way that optimizes sales and conversion.

  • Present site merchandising vision to cross-functional partners to gain buy-in, uniquely tailoring delivery based on audience and meeting format.

  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Pricing, UX/UI, Marketing, and Creative teams to implementcross-functional initiatives.

  • Analyze our customers’ paths to purchase using analytical tools and recommend and implement changes to strengthen the experience and results.

40%: Site Optimization

  • Identify opportunities and implement initiatives that bring the product vision to life in a way that optimizes sales and conversion, with a focus on specific seasonal business units.

  • Review site / app daily with a customer-first mindset and proactively make site updates and optimizations.

  • Perform regular competitive analysis and provide strategic recommendations for optimizing our site experience.

Must have:

  • Be highly organized, detail oriented, and have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A passion for eCommerce and the ability to collaborate productively

  • A natural curiosity and a customer-centric mindset

  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude

  • Ability to thrive and be agile in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong verbal and written skills

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate results clearly and effectively

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 strongly preferred)

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor/Master’s degree program at the time of the internship (certificate programs are not eligible)

  • Availability to start on the designated start date in May

  • Availability to work for a minimum of 10 out of the 11 weeks of the defined internship period which runs from May-August

  • Knowledge of allocation principles, retail fundamentals, ad hoc reporting and analysis (i.e., Excel)
