How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Manager is responsible for supporting DMS business (Asset monetization, Finance, PLM, Repair, Operations, Sales) to drive down costs, improve efficiency, and increase revenue through data and analytics. The candidate will have expertise in implementing and developing analytic solutions. The Manager will be asked to work closely with business leaders to develop creative solutions by generating actionable insights, identifying strategic opportunities, and driving actions that optimize commercial and operational performance and reliably generate appropriate metrics for current business challenges.
Employs advanced contemporary statistical and industrial engineering methods as required to improve operational performance; identifies areas of opportunity and develops and manages process improvement projects.
Utilizes ETL (Alteryx, Hyperion, Tableau, SAP, Qlik, Analysis for Office) to locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in reporting, analysis, and statistical modeling to support divisional projects and goals
Works with BI team to build interactive dashboards in Tableau
Provides ad-hoc data support on complex subjects and material in an expedited manner; can effectively communicate complex concepts to a non-technical audience
Frequently presents findings to senior leaders with minimal guidance
Effectively engages other team members to complete projects and achieve objectives, trains and mentors other team members in various skillsets and subjects
Creates and maintains the project backlog for Business Performance by working closely with the team analysts and developers
Conducts planning sessions with Technical and Business teams to prioritize work in upcoming sprints
Engages directly and daily with delivery teams to execute projects
Develops communication materials and leads communication efforts around projects, workplans, priorities and future roadmaps
Assists with design, development and implementation of data processing pipelines and data mining / data science initiatives
Ensures DMS methodologies, standards and procedures are adopted, implemented and followed
Ensures technical solutions meet business goals and that customer satisfaction with the project and conclusion is high
Acts as a Point of contact for technical issues, creates documentation, monitors service levels
Coordinates activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
5+ years of experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field required
Experience with programming and statistical analysis software (SAS, Python, R or similar)
Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Qlik or similar)
Advanced computer, statistical analysis, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently with very little instruction or supervision
Must also convey professional image with ability to lead, manage, and communicate to all levels of associates in a team environment
Ability to effectively manage and deliver on many projects at once within strict deadlines is required
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Candidates for this position may have completion of a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related analytical discipline or 5 years of equivalent business experience required
Expertise in SQL and reporting/analytics tools such as SAS, Hyperion, SAP, Alteryx, and Tableau
Ability to quickly extract/analyze data, summarize results/conclusions and effectively present findings
Familiar with airline economic concepts, predictive analytics, and process optimization
Ability to resolve problems by balancing relevant factors and grasp mathematical concepts related to cargo revenue management
Strong relationship and project management skills
