How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

This position will play a crucial role in supporting and contributing to various business projects and initiatives within the Onboard Service department. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and gain practical experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a desire to make a positive impact on the customer and employee experience. This position is responsible for performing tasks within the Menu, Product Development, and Implementation Team. Data analysis surrounding trends, product consumption, seasonality, process documentation and improvement opportunities. This opportunity offers valuable hands- on experience in project coordination and communication within a dynamic business environment. Daily support of operational needs when required.

  • Domestic/International Menu & Product Development: Optimizing the global and domestic networks to identify and eliminate waste while maintaining service continuity. Perform market research and data analysis to develop and launch new products in strategic areas. Assess current food quality control practices and identify process improvement opportunity on Food Quality Control programs.

    Primary Functions:

    Domestic/International Menu & Product Development assignment could include the following scope:

  • Assess current food quality control practices and identify process improvement opportunity on Food Quality Control programs.

  • Develop marketing and communication materials for onboard product launches

  • Perform market research and data analysis to develop and launch new products in strategic areas

  • Analyze data to form sound recommendations for process improvement

  • Document processes and present findings

  • Support project management for product implementation

  • Support product development testing, and documentation

    Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Business/Industrial Management, Operations/Supply Chain, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences or related majorin a 4-year degree program

  • Must be available for three alternating semesters

  • In good standing with the University with a 3.0 GPA or greater

  • Good communication skill in verbal and written

  • Project management and organization skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point

  • Knowledge of Microsoft: Word, Outlook, Access

  • Ability to work with minimal instruction

  • Self motivated, eager to accept responsibility and create value-added projects
