Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be a key contributor to the New Business Development (NBD) Team. This role will be responsible for collaborating & coordinating with NBD team to help drive critical initiatives, partner with the team to drive an effective communication plan and ensuring the smooth execution of key projects.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Partner with key team members to support the business with research, analysis, and competitive benchmarking to identify growth opportunities and improve decision-making.

Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor key performance metrics and provide recommendations for areas of improvement, growth opportunities, and risks.

  • Hands on participation with sales results, annual planning and forecasting processes.

  • Partner with analytics team to interpret complex data sets to tell stories. Develop an organized set of conclusions/ recommendations that can be digested by a broader audience.

  • Present findings and recommendations to the leadership team, guiding strategic discussions and decision-making.

Project Management:

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful completion.

Relationship Management:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to support/optimize innovation launches, merchandising standards and promotional strategies.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Coordinate communication across various internal teams and departments to ensure alignment and transparency.

  • Prepare reports, and communications to ensure clear and effective messaging across the organization.

  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events, facilitating open dialogue and fostering a collaborative culture.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape related to Newell Brands' product categories.

  • Leverage this knowledge to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Foster strong relationships and facilitate collaboration across various teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and product development.

  • Partner with NBD leadership team to prioritize initiatives and ensure timely project delivery.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience with 3+ years in planning, project management, or a similar role.

  • Basic understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and category management within the CPG industry.

  • Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to operate in a matrixed team environment with deadlines & deliverable dates shifting.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
