Emory University Asst/Assoc Professor, Dept of Surg, Pediatric Surgery in atlanta, Georgia
Join a group of practicing pediatric surgeons in one of the largest children’s hospitals in the country, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. You would join the faculty of the Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery, Emory University, at the appropriate academic level. You would be an active participant in our pediatric surgery training program. Our minimally invasive surgery program is one of the busiest in the country. We are seeking a person who could bring a unique skill set or program to our already very busy practice. (1) Serve as an attending pediatric surgeon at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, The Emory Children’s Center, Emory University Hospital Midtown, and other outpatient facilities associated with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta; (2) Participate in the clinical education, training, and development of medical students, surgery and pediatric residents, and pediatric surgery residents and fellows through didactic conferences, ward rounds, intensive care unit rounds, and teaching activities within the operating room environment; (3) Participate in unique and collaborative clinical research specific to pediatric surgery which would include the participation of students and residents in the research activities and which would also include presentations at national meetings and submission of results to peer review journals.
-Board certified general surgeon, eligible for the Certificate of Special Competency in Pediatric Surgery, a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia, and a controlled substance registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate.-80608BR
